We’re always looking for the latest and greatest forms of content, and one often overlooked is that of the “Embedded Tweet” in your blog post. People will often take to Twitter to promote their recommendations, and we can now use those as testimonials on our own websites with just a few clicks of the mouse.
Step 1 – Locate a tweet on Twitter that you want to embed in your blog post.
Step 2 – Click on the down arrow in the top right corner of the tweet.
Step 3 – Click on “Embed Tweet”:
Once you click on the down arrow, a list will pop up from which you’ll click on “Embed Tweet”.
Step 4 – Copy the code:
A pop up box will appear showing you the code that you need to copy. This should already be highlighted for you, in which case you simply need to right click your mouse over the code, and select “copy”.
Note that you have the option to Include Media which will be checked off if there’s media attached to the tweet. You have the option of unchecking this box if you so choose.
Step 5 – Paste the code into your blog post:
*NOTE* Make sure you switch your text editor to TEXT MODE!
Once your editor is in Text Mode, right click in the editor to Paste the code you copied from Twitter. It should look something like this:
And VOILA! This is how it will appear when you click on Preview or Publish your post:
