Marketing By Engagement:
Get in the habit of visiting at least 3 blogs a day and leaving valuable (but not spammy) comments. One of the best reasons for this is that you will become known to the blogger who may visit your blog in return. If you two are a good fit, you may even start a business relationship that might include guest posts or other collaborations.
Another great reason for commenting on blogs is that others in your target audience will see you around the blogosphere, and you’ll start to gain “authority”. What (or in this case, who) is an authority? A go-to person for guidance, leadership or advice. So yes, you definitely want to become an authority figure in your market.
The same goes for engaging your audience on social media. You want to engage, engage, engage! Don’t let a comment go by without replying to it, even if it’s just a personal thank you.
These are your front lines of communication in the social world, and it’s imperative to keep them open. This will encourage your audience to like, share, click and comment!
