1. Direct Sales:
Joining a Direct Sales company is among the easiest ways to start your scrapbooking business. By joining an existing company as an Independent Sales Representative, you can purchase all of your supplies at a discounted price, and resell them for a profit. Getting started with a Direct Sales Company is usually quite affordable, and often they provide a Starter Kit at a reasonable cost to help you start your business right away.
There are several great Direct Sales Scrapbooking Companies that you can look into and choose the perfect match for you:
Creative Memories – Innovative new sales opportunity for Advisors. Combining a unique blend of ecommerce and social selling, it welcomes everyone who would like to earn while they share the mission and products they love, without minimums or restrictions. Cost to join is $49 USD. Creative Memories provides traditional and digital scrapbooking.
Close To My Heart – For more than 30 years, Close To My Heart has offered a wide array of papercrafting products, with special emphasis on scrapbooking and stamping. Close To My Heart offers a wide range of products for every papercrafting project, with papers, inks, embellishments, and project kits in coordinating colors and designs. Cost to join is $75 USD and you’ll receive over $200 in products plus an additional $50 credit.
Heritage Makers – At Heritage Makers, our goal is to make preserving family stories simple, fun, and rewarding. Heritage Makers helps people everywhere create beautiful, heirloom quality storybooks which document the priceless relationships, events, and experiences of life. Signing up as a consultant isn’t as clear cut as with the previous 2 companies. From what I can tell, you must register as a Youngevity consultant and then you can join Heritage Makers for free. What the actual cost is, I’m not certain.
2. Teach Community Classes:
Teaching classes either from home or your local community centre can be another very profitable idea. Charging either per person or per event, you can set your own prices keeping in mind the cost of your time and supplies. Consider doing a series of classes for even more money!
- A series of layouts – New Years, Valentine’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas etc.
- Specialty classes – wedding album, baby album, vacation album etc.
Think in terms of Themes, and make it easy for those that have never tried scrapbooking before.
I’ve been to several classes where the hostess was paid $15 per person in attendance, and you could even charge a larger fee in advance for a series of classes!
3. Host Scrapbooking Parties:
If you have an outgoing personality and are comfortable with people, hosting scrapbooking parties can be a lot of fun. Consider hosting parties based on a specific theme. For example, you could host a bridal shower and have every guest create a special page for the brides album, to be presented to the guest of honour at the end of the party.
The same type of class could be done for babies, birthdays, anniversaries, retirement, etc. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
4. Scrapbooking For Others:
If you’re not comfortable teaching classes or hosting home parties, creating scrapbooks for others can also be an extremely profitable home business. After all, not all of us have the time or patience (or face it, artistic ability) to create the layouts for our cherished memories. You can choose from charging by the page or by the album, just make sure you take your time and supplies into consideration.
