Why You Should Repurpose Content:
Repurposing content not only saves time coming up with new ideas, but it also helps to build authority. Talking about the same topic multiple times helps you gain recognition as an authority on the subject.
It’s also good for SEO (search engine optimization). When discussing topics multiple times, chances are good that you’ll be making use of the same keywords which makes for good SEO. Using the idea outside of your site with links back to the original content is even better for SEO.
Creating content is the lifeblood of any online business, but creating new content on a constant basis can be difficult. Recycling your popular and older posts into new and creative content can help you to continue to create evergreen content that adds value and remains relevant months and even years later.
Repurposing content can even help you reach a wider audience. Updating an older post to make it more “evergreen”, or changing the form of content you’re likely to reach people who have never seen the original piece of content.
What Is Evergreen Content?
Evergreen content is considered to be relevant content long past its publication. It is lasting material that stays fresh for readers.
Would be considered evergreen content as people are always searching for time management tips.
On the flip side, some content is NOT evergreen. For example:
